Book list

Okay my cut is acting up.  I kept track by month, so I have to manually put in every month for some reason.  I guess my average is about 1 1/2 to 2 books each week depending on how long it is.  Anyway, no rhyme or reason to this.  *indicates a reread.

(unfinished)

I read a few books on writing without finishing because I got what I wanted out of them.  Although the last one was headache inducing.  At least half of these books are young adult, so I went through them quickly.  My opinion of House of Night is - Meh.  The writing style is awful, but now that I'm involved I have to keep with it to figure out how it ends.  But I won't buy them anymore when the library is around the corner.

The Hunger Games were my favorite, very intense.  I just finished Mockingjay last night (first book of 2011!) and thought Catching Fire was the best.  Aside from that, my favorites were (6) Living Dead Girl, (14) Book of Joe, (22) Speak, (43) Evernight, (48) Perfect Chemistry,  (66) The Shining, (77) of course and (81) Party Girl.  Most were young adult which I don't feel guilty about it because it's the genre I'm writing in.  Book of Joe actually disturbed me more than once, which is hard to do and therefore impressive.  I have to read The Plague and Frankenstein again someday.  With all the fast paced books I've read, I found it difficult to pay attention.  I admit it.  Street Boners is the follow up to Vice's Dos and Don'ts, but not nearly as funny.

Hopefully by the end of this year I can bypass 100 :)
